Obituary of Carol Ann Davis

Carol Ann Davis, 74 of Waretown, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her children and loved ones on Sunday, June 18, 2017.

Originally from East Orange, New Jersey, Carol spent the last twenty years of her life in Waretown with her beloved husband, Donald Davis, who preceded her in death in 2011.

She was one of seven children, and was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edith and Conrad, as well as her brother, Robert Boyd, and sisters, Barbara Jean Barto, Mary Boyd and Diane Casapulla.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, and the Friends of the Waretown Library. She will be remembered for her loving devotion to her children and grandchildren, as well as her most beloved Aunt, Jeanette Stryker, and her cousins, Jeanette and Kenneth Stryker. She valued loyalty and expressed particular love and gratitude to her niece and nephew, Melissa and Billy Walters. Those who knew her well, will also remember her for her enduring perseverance in the face of adversity, her great capacity for joy and laughter, and the many friendships she shared throughout her life.

She is survived by her brothers, Thomas Boyd and David Boyd, her cousin, Susan Boyd, her children, Robert Mills, Sandra Mills, Darlene Holston, and Denise Hon, and her grandchildren, John Mickens, Brian Mickens, Robert Mills, and Kelly Reyes.

A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church, in Waretown, on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Popcorn Zoo in Forked River, New Jersey.
