Patricia M. Ciccone, 73, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on July 21, 2016. Patricia, daughter of the late Louis and Florence Bruno, died naturally of a broken heart early Thursday evening after loosing her husband of 53 years, Joseph F. Ciccone Sr., only 3 weeks prior. Pat leaves behind 4 loving children: Barbara Bane, Gina Ciccone, Michael Ciccone, and Joseph F. Ciccone Jr.; 12 devoted grandchildren: Patricia and her husband Douglas Clayton, Lisa Terrell and her husband Nathanial, Joseph, Michael, Alex, Daniel, Anthony, Diona, and Antonio Jonathon Ciccone, Christopher, Marissa, and Kyle Trabucco; beloved sister, Deborah Barmann and her husband Neil, and many extended family and the mothers of her grandchildren: Maria Esposito, Angela Jacobs, and Cheryl Trabbuco. She was preceded in death by loving sister-in-law, Theresa Ciccone and grandson, Shannon R, Bane III. Patricia was born on February 18, 1943. In 1962 she met Joseph F, Ciccone and fell in love at first sight, After marrying a year later, the two raised their family of 4 in Newark and then the Silver Lake section of Belleville, NJ, She later retired to Toms River in 2004, Pat was an intricate woman full of style and pizzaz. After working as a secretary earlier in life, she was able to turn her passion for shopping into her own business, operating mostly as a flea market and yard sale vendor, She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Pat was known to her grandchildren, family, and close friends as Mema. Patricia loved dressing to the nines. She took pride in her wardrobe as well as her extensive hat and jewelry collections. Pat was a very smart woman who enjoyed friendly competition while playing cards and Scrabble, .She loved going to Bingo and Skillo. Pat loved the Jersey shore, where she would vacation every summer with her family, until settling there 12 years ago. She enjoyed going to flea markets and trips to Atlantic City. Patricia M. Ciccone, "Mema", will always be remembered for her vibrant style, her love of shopping, and her " tell it like it is" philosophy.
