Obituary of Taryn Lynn Slingerland

Taryn Lynn Slingerland Born September 14, 1967 in Teaneck, NJ, died August 2, 2016 after a courageous six year battle with cancer. She resided in Manahawkin. Taryn was a retired Russian linguist for the U.S. Air Force. She is predeceased by her loving grandparents Joseph and Catherine O'Connell and infant son Ryan. Taryn is survived by daughters Erika Bluomquist of FL and Haley Shinn of Waretown, NJ; mother Peg Cernak of Whiting, NJ; father Walter Lawhorn of Spring Hill, FL; sister Kellianne Goodnight of GA; brother Walter Lawhorn, Forked River, Craig and fiancée Erin of Forked River; four grandchildren Jackie, Jacob and Jared, and a special grandchild, Joshua, whom she raised since birth; as well as many nephews, friends, and good neighbors.
