Dennis James Buckley, 78, who was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and love for his family. Dennis grew up in a bustling household as one of fourteen children, where the values of family and resilience were instilled in him from an early age.
Many of Dennis’ fondest memories were made working side by side with his siblings on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights. It was one of his favorite places.
In pursuit of a better life, Dennis later relocated to Toms River. There he married and raised his two beloved children.
As skilled and accomplished plumber/builder, Dennis poured his heart and soul into his work. His craftsmanship lives on in various homes throughout the area.
Dennis is survived by his son, John, wife Tara, and granddaughters Grace and Lilianna, his daughter Deneen, and her husband Christopher Grecco, who all carry forward his spirit and strength.
He is also survived by the mother of his children, Rosemarie, his siblings, Margie DeFilippo, Joseph Buckley, Janet Scerbo, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother Margaret and his father John along with siblings Jacqueline Buckley, Patricia Kent, Alice Dunne, Debbie Abeltin, Leo Buckley, Robert "Little" Buckley, Thomas Buckley, Kenneth Buckley, John "Buddy" Buckley, and Carol Sullivan.
Dennis's legacy will live on in the lives he touched, the homes he built, and the memories his family lovingly cherish.
