Nicolina Caponera Obituary
Nicolina Caponera (née Crociata), 76, of Barnegat, N.J., born on April 6, 1949, transcended to
God on Sunday, April 27, 2025. She passed away peacefully, holding her daughter’s hand,
surround by the love of her family. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to her late parents Sebastian and
Anna Crociata, Nicolina cherished her family and friends. She is survived by her daughter,
Janice Mascelli, and her husband Michael; son, Michael Caponera, and his wife Karen; daughter,
RoseAnne Caponera; sister, Phyllis Paciullo, and her husband Robert; sister, Linda Fey;
grandchildren, Nicholas, Jake, Mathew, Christopher, and Samantha; and her grand pups,
Mason, Dolly, and Minnie.
A celebration of life Mass will start at 11:00am on June 7, 2025, at St. Mary’s Church 747 W Bay
Ave, Barnegat, NJ 08005.
