AUDREY LUCILLE ASBJORN, 95, died on June 1, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. Audrey was born on May 1, 1930 in Queens, NY to Charles T. and Lucille E. Weth.

She graduated from Dominican Commercial High School, Brooklyn, NY in 1948. On May 30, 1951, she married Gregor Antoni Asbjorn, who served in the US Army Air Force and later was an executive engineer for NY Telephone Company. Audrey and Gregor built their life and raised their family in Hollis, NY, Belmore, Long Island and Matawan, NJ before retiring to Bayville, NJ in 1985. Audrey was an active member of St. Clements Church in Matawan, NJ. She enjoyed many years of volunteering with various nonprofits in both Matawan and Bayville. Her favorite pastimes included playing poker, knitting, watching old movies and game shows and solving all kinds of puzzles. She recently lived at Brighton Gardens of Middletown, NJ where she made many friends and enjoyed her days socializing, playing poker and bingo.

In addition to her parents, Audrey is predeceased by her husband Gregor (March 20, 1987) and many of her dear friends and extended family members. She is survived by her sister, Janice; her eleven loving children, Bruce (AZ), Debra (NJ), Dawn (AZ), Donna (NJ), Deidre (NJ), Diana (NJ), Daria and her husband Thomas(NJ), Denise and her husband James (PA), Erik (FL), Brian (AZ) and Danielle (NJ); her grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, Matthew, Heather, Kyle, Jason, Jimmy, Jylian, Jared, Kyrsten, Jenna, Gregor, Jackie, Ariadne, Alexandra and Cole; and great grandchildren; Zeke, Gwyneth, Calla, Paisley, Kase, Skylen, Dylen, Kaven, Kenneth, Hayden, Brielle, Raylee, and Luna.

A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 11AM at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville, NJ.

As an alternative to flowers, donations may be made in Audrey’s name to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
