Charlene Broglie of Manchester, NJ passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, after a lengthy but courageous battle surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newark, NJ Charlene spent summers in Bradley Beach with her family before moving there at age 9. She raised her family in Ocean Township, NJ.

She worked for Belmar Board of Education as a bus driver for 30 years where she touched the lives of so many students.

Charlene was predeceased by her parents, David and Mildred Grassgreen, her grandmother, Tessie Ostrowsky and her brother Sanford Grassgreen. She is survived by her family whom she loved deeply including her devoted husband, Eugene of Manchester, NJ, her daughter, Kim Corwin of Spring Lake, NJ, her son, Jeffrey Corwin and his wife, Amanda and her grandson, Ryan who was the center of her universe who she loved to the moon and back of Tinton Falls, NJ as well as her beloved dog, Molly who was always at her side.

She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were like family to her as well as all her “kids” she babysat for whose lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, support and encouragement, wit and humor. Charlene had a sensitivity which enabled her to give love to all.

Charlene was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed special events, going to lunch with the girls, going out to dinner with her family, spending time at the boardwalk, cruises with family and watching her grandson’s sporting events. Her children were her life. She will be missed by all the lives she touched. Our lives will never be the same yet we will try to continue on with the same courage, fortitude and love she gave to everyone.
