LeRoy G. Tice, 89, of Pelican Island, NJ passed peacefully on July 17, 2025.
He was born on September 30, 1935 in Franklin, NJ, and raised in Newfoundland,
NJ.
He married his wife Lillian in 1959, and they built their first home in Oak Ridge, NJ
where they raised their three children.
He proudly served in the United States Army at Fort Dix from 1957-1959.
Following service, he built a successful 35-year career at New Jersey Bell
Telephone Company.
He volunteered for 45 years at the Community Fire Co. #1 in Newfoundland, NJ,
and served as Fire Chief from 1965-1970.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, Helen Rude Tice and LeRoy Tice Sr.
His memory will carry on through his wife Lillian Tice, son and daughter-in-law
Jeffrey and Kathy Tice, daughter Robin Zarzecki, son and daughter-in-law Troy and
Theresa Tice, and sister Shirley Mazalewski.
He is also remembered through his grandchildren Nicole Zarzecki, Tyler Tice and
wife Sophia, Jessie Dilts and husband Kenneth, Thomas Zarzecki, Ryan Tice,
Samantha Andella and husband Tyler, Sydney Tice, Cassandra Tice, Zachary Tice,
great-grandchildren Paisley and Levi Dilts, and many nieces and nephews.
LeRoy enjoyed boating at the Jersey shore, gardening, travelling the world,
tinkering around the house, and loved to share stories of his childhood and
memories of the past. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Services will be held on August 3, 2025 at 2:00pm at the United Methodist Church
in Newfoundland, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the
church.
