Obituary for Peter W. Palaitis

Peter Waldemar Palaitis, 59, of Toms River, NJ passed away on August 6th, 2025. Peter was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a long-time employee of the NJ Election Law Commission. Peter loved participating in endurance sports and completed 6 Ironman triathlons, over 30 marathons and few ultra races. He enjoyed playing chess, watching the Phillies and the beach. Peter is predeceased by his mom, Jeanne Palaitis (Sigwart). He is survived by his son - Jesse DeHart, his dad - Waldemar Palaitis and his sister – JJ Palaitis, his dear friend, Terry McWilliams, and his ex-wife, Jeannine DeHart.
