Mary Elizabeth Bataille, of Whiting, N.J., passed away on October 24, 2025 at the age of 98. Mary was born in Hillside, N.J., on September 18, 1927, the youngest child of John and Josephine Lukaszewski. She grew up on a farm in Hillside with her four brothers and two sisters. For most of her life, Mary resided in Clinton, N.J., in a home she shared with her daughter and mother. She worked at RCA as an executive secretary. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling. Her favorite trip was to Hawaii with her daughter, Karen, and sister-in-law, Kay.

Mary will be remembered for her quick wit, remarkable memory, generous spirit, and her love of family. She researched the genealogy of her parents who immigrated from Poland and put together scrapbooks of their lives. One of her last projects was to create a beautiful collage of family photos, giving copies to everyone. When she was 96, Mary moved to Whiting to live her daughter, Karen, son-in-law, Danny, and their beloved dog, Missy. She deeply appreciated their loving care for her.

Mary is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Antone, Charles, Stanley, and Walter and her sisters, Janet Kokoll and Bernice Healing. She is survived by her daughter, son- in-law, many nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

A remembrance service for family and friends will be held on December 7, 2025. May her legacy of love always be with us.
