Dale L Pierce Obituary

Dale L Pierce passed away on February 24, 2026, at Community Medical Center, Toms River NJ

Dale was born in Lakewood, NJ to Wilbur Dale and Sarah Jane Monahan Pierce on March 3, 1947. He was raised in Lakehurst and Bayville, NJ before moving to South Toms River.

Dale was predeceased by his parents and brothers Ronald, Carl, Thomas, and Jeffrey, and sisters in "Love," Annemarie Kerins Vogler and Paula Lerp Pierce.

Dale was predeceased by his beloved daughter Cheri Leigh Pierce.

Surviving Dale is his wife of 57 years, Darlene Kerins Pierce, son, Shannon Dale Pierce (Marie), granddaughter Katie Anna Syanovitz, sisters in "Love" Sandi Brelsford and Evelyn Brocklebank, his many nieces, nephews and their families, and his many cousins,

all whom he loved as his own.

In life, if anyone needed him, he tried to be there for them.

Dale enjoyed coaching boys' soccer and driving his college teams to swim meets, softball, tennis, and soccer. He was also a certified swimming pool operator for the college.

He enjoyed fishing and playing and watching sports, cheering on his Giants, win or lose, and riding and loving his beloved horses.

Dale retired from Ocean County College and spent his remaining years devoted to his family, friends, horses, dogs, cats and many birds. All were his family. He leaves behind his beloved dog Rory.

Dale had a great Irish sense of humor and tried to make people smile even on his darkest days. If you remember him at all, crack a joke or two in his honor.

Ocean County Cremation Service is handling his affairs, and in the near future we hope to celebrate his life with a small memorial at graveside, in the Miller Family Cemetery, Fairview Rd. Clarks Summit, Scott Twp. PA.

Rest in peace Dear Dale. You will be forever loved and missed.
