Barbara Ann Allan, 73, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on April 8,

2026.


She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Margaret and Peter Porkka Sr.; her

brother, Peter Porkka Jr.; and her sister, Joanne Chaney.


Barbara is lovingly survived by her children, Kristi Allan, and Amanda and Chris Pavero. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Alexia, Jake, and Ava Pavero. She is also survived by her siblings: Judi and Jim Tymon, Kenny and Dorothy Porkka, Lisa Kondvar, and Tom and Marie Porkka, along with many loved nieces and nephews.

Barbara also leaves behind her dear Mira Vie family, who held a special place in her

heart.


Barbara was born in Teaneck, New Jersey, and raised in Englewood, New Jersey,

where she developed her strong sense of family and community with her family. She

honorably served her country in the United States Navy, a reflection of her deep love for her country. Barbara dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a nurse, a role that perfectly matched her caring nature. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and loved ones. 


Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on April 14, 2026, at 11:00

a.m. at St. Barnabas Church in Bayville, New Jersey, in the chapel. A luncheon celebration of Barbara’s life will follow at the Pine Beach Yacht Club, where all are

welcome to gather, remember, and honor her life.
