Kelly Ann Bacho Obituary

Kelly Ann Bacho, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, at the age of 59, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on February 2, 1967, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Kelly later made her home in Whiting, New Jersey, and also spent many cherished years living in Florida, where she built lasting friendships and shared many wonderful memories with her extended family and loved ones there.

Kelly was known for her funny personality, caring heart, and free-spirited nature. She had a way of making those around her smile and will always be remembered for her unforgettable dance moves, vibrant energy, and ability to bring joy wherever she went. Kelly dedicated much of her life to working as a caregiver, a role that reflected her compassionate heart and natural desire to care for others.

She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—spending time at the beach, traveling to new places, making cherished memories with loved ones, and embracing every adventure that came her way. Kelly had a special love for Disney, animals, and above all, her family, who meant everything to her. Her time in Florida brought her great joy, and the friendships and connections she made there remained an important part of her life.

Kelly was predeceased by her beloved mother, Kathleen Douglas Kavanagh; her brother, Shawn Kavanagh; and her cherished grandmother, Margaret Kay Douglas.

She is lovingly survived by her father, Bernard Kavanagh; her son, Anthony Bacho; her daughter-in-law, Rachel Bacho; her adored grandson, Jax Bacho, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life; her loving sisters, Colleen Whatton and Erin Kelusak; her cherished niece and nephews; extended family; dear friends in both New Jersey and Florida; and all who will miss her deeply.

Kelly’s greatest gift was the love she gave so freely. Whether through laughter, dancing, shared adventures, or simply being present for the people she loved, she made a lasting impact on all who knew her. Becoming a grandmother was one of the greatest blessings of her life, and her love will continue to shine through the family she treasured so deeply.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kelly’s memory to support children undergoing dialysis treatment through the National Kidney Foundation, helping provide resources, support, and hope to children and families facing kidney disease.

Though Kelly may no longer be with us in person, her spirit, laughter, and love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
