Rosalind Tortorelli passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2026. Born in Brooklyn NY in 1942 to John and Molly Russo. Rosalind grew up in Brooklyn where she enjoyed her Italian upbringing especially the Italian food. She loved the ballet and was fortunate enough to take ballet lessons. She also tried the violin as well and had a love for music. Rosalind later got married and moved to NJ where she spent the rest of her life.

She has two children Robert Tortorelli and Dina Tortorelli.

She is also survived by her 4 Grandchildren; Amber Caroli, Brandon Tortorelli, Michael Tortorelli and Jake Blitz and also by her Sister Phyllis Esposito and her Niece Laura Esposito.

Later on in life she moved down by The Jersey Shore. She always had a love for the beach and the ocean air. She loved to laugh and The Old Peter Sellers Pink Panther Movies were some of her favorites. She was always active with Church and also taught CCD when her children were young. She attended Ramapo College and taught English as a second language to many students. She Loved The Lord and was always working for him spreading The Gospel.

Her life was not always easy but she always held on to Jesus as her Rock of Salvation. She loved to tell everyone about Jesus and she helped her son find The Lord and bought him his first Bible as a child. She also bought him and his Wife Lisa their Couples Bible in 1998 for their anniversary right before Amber’s Birth. Her planting the seeds of faith in her family has spread to the next generation where it is already bearing fruit in her Grandchildren. Even though we are all feeling the heartache we all know she is finally at peace now, being held in the Loving Arms of Jesus.
