What’s Included In An Affordable Cremation Service?

The average cost of cremation can range between $4,000 and $7,000. The process is more affordable than traditional burials and there are several plans or packages available for people who are on a tight budget. At Ocean County Cremation Service, we like to explain all of the costs involved and offer the most affordable solutions to struggling families. Let’s look at what’s included in an affordable cremation service:

1. Transport To The Crematorium

The funeral home will handle transporting the body from a house or hospital to the crematorium if the family prefers direct cremation. You may have to pay additional costs if you want to hold a full funeral service with the body before cremation. Full service may require embalming to ensure the body is presentable.

2. Paperwork

The funeral home will handle basic paperwork like getting permits for the cremation, death certificates, and related documentation. They will only carry out the process after they have government approval.

3. Taking Care Of The Body

The funeral home will clean and dress the body in preparation for the cremation. They will remove any accessories and support devices like hearing aids from the body, making sure there's nothing to hamper the process. The deceased is placed inside a casket or a cardboard box for cremation.

4. Cremation

Once the body is ready and all paperwork is processed, the funeral home will carry out the cremation. This process can take a few hours and the family can either wait or return for the ashes the next day.

5. Ashes And Urns

Once the body is fully cremated, the staff will collect the remains and grind them into ash. This ash is placed inside an urn and given to the family. You can either scatter them, bury them, or place them in your home.

If you want to know more or want to arrange for a service, contact us at Ocean County Cremation Service today. We’ll be happy to help.
