Longtime Resident of New Providence, NJ

Jean P. Nobbs, 86, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at her home in Brick Twp., NJ.  She is survived by Gordon W., her loving and devoted husband of 63 years. Jean was born in Elizabeth NJ, and resided in Roselle, NJ and New Providence, NJ before moving to Brick Twp. in 2010.  

Jean was predeceased by her parents, George and Florence Pease.  She is survived by her daughter Linda Spencer (Bob) of Bethlehem, PA, and sons Paul (Karen) of Branchburg, NJ, Peter (Patricia) of Middlesex, NJ, Eric (Kimberly) of Point Pleasant, NJ and Steven (Mary Beth) of Rutledge, PA.  She is also survived by her brother, George Pease (Cathy) of Manahawkin, NJ as well as by 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She graduated from Bethany College in West Virginia and earned a degree in Liberal Arts.  Throughout her children’s high school years, she enjoyed and supported her son’s wrestling accomplishments and her daughter’s theatre performances.  She also loved to read and enjoyed her vacations at the Jersey shore in Lavallette, NJ and St. Thomas, USVI.  

Jean’s wishes were to be cremated and her ashes scattered, which the family will honor during a private service at a later date.  Arrangements were entrusted to Ocean County Cremation Service, Forked River, NJ.
