AGE: 78 • Forked River, NJ

Nancy Calvano, 78, passed away peacefully after a short illness, on February 25, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born in Elizabeth, NJ to the late Ann and Henry Schaupp. Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be remembered as a woman of strength and devotion. In her youth, she enjoyed dancing with her husband, and in retirement, traveling to Florida for winter vacations with her dear friends.

Nancy took great pride in making her house a home. She enjoyed time spent with her friends at the Lacey Township Garden Club. She spent much of her retirement on the water, whether it was cruising the Caribbean with friends, or sailing the Barnegat Bay with her husband as a member of the Barnegat Bay Sail Club. She cared for her husband Raymond with steadfast resolve as he battled illness in his final years. Though reserved in nature, Nancy was fiercely dedicated to the people she loved.

She is predeceased by Raymond  Calvano Sr., her devoted husband of 57 years. Nancy is survived by her sons  Raymond Jr. (Eve), and Christopher (Ruth Ann), grandchildren Alexandra (Ethan Long), Luke (Bernadine), Quenten, and great grandson Owen Long.  Brother Henry, Jr. (Elaine) and sister Mary Alice and nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018 at 10:00 am at The Church of St Pius the Tenth, 300 Lacey Rd., Forked River, NJ 08731. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the charity of your choice.
