Obituary of Audrey E. Curry

Audrey E. Curry, age 81, of Toms River, NJ, died peacefully at home surrounded by her entire family on February 24, 2018.

Audrey was born on September 22, 1936 in WilkesBarre, Pennsylvania before moving to Toms River, NJ in 1964. She was one of 7 children born to Wesley And Margaret Miller. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

Audrey worked for Nathan F. Troum, MD and Frank C. Alario, MD, as office manager for 29 years before retiring in 2007. She took great pride in her work.

She is predeceased by John Michael Curry, Sr, her devoted and loving husband of 60 years. Also by her brothers Montie, George and Donald Miller and her sister Bessie Dennis. She is survived by her brother Wesley Miller and sister Margaret Martin, her son, John Michael Curry, Jr, daughters Sandy Curry and Tracey Brooks. Grandchildren, David, Matthew, and LeAnne Hitchens, Andrew Curry, Gabrielle West and Julia Brooks. Great grandchildren, Molly, Amy and Finn Hitchens, and Jacob West.

Audrey's family would like to publicly thank the staff on floor 2A at Community Medical Center and the staff at Grace Hospice for the wonderful care, warmth and tenderness they showed to mom and our entire family.

A special heart felt thank you to 2 beautiful caring nurses in our family. LeAnne Hitchens and Kimberly Coleman, your expertise, devotion, sincere caring and personal time you gave to help keep Gram comfortable every step of the way will never be forgotten. We love you both.

A remembrance service will be offered on Saturday, March 10th, 2018 from 10am-Noon at Ocean County Cremation Service, 1252 Rt 37 West, Toms River.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Audrey's honor to The ALS Foundation or St Jude's.
