Obituary of John Joseph Rainieri, Sr.

 

John J. Rainieri, 79, of Bayville, NJ, passed away suddenly on March 6, 2019. John was born on November 24, 1939 to John Peter Rainieri and Mary Scudero Rainieri in the Bronx, NY. John worked for many years as a Commodities Manager at Rosenthal-Collins Group in NYC before retiring in 2001.  

John was a character first and foremost. He told you the truth as he saw it and made no excuses. He was a charming, honest and humorous man with a heart of gold.

John will be remembered for his endless love for his wife of over 58 years Gloria, his sons John (Kathy) and Richard (Carrie), his grandchildren Daniel, Jacqueline, Dylan, John, Matthew and Juliana, and for his giving heart for always helping others.

He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Scalfone (Richard).

John was a Parkinson’s patient for the last 4 years and was profoundly helped by and deeply moved by the outpouring of fellowship he received from Coach Shawn and his boxing group at the Gladiator gym.

Services will be private.
