Obituary of Matilda Berner

Matilda “Matty” Berner, age 85, of Bayville, NJ, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. She was born on July 11,1934 in NYC and resided in Bergen County most of her life. She was a devoted Catholic with unwavering faith who deeply loved her family. She is survived by her two sons, Robert and Anthony and their spouses, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, her sister Millie Connolly and brother Frank Papale. She was preceded in death by daughter Marion, brothers Dominick Papale, Joseph Papale and sister Theresa Begnoche. A memorial mass and celebratory gathering will be held at a later date.
