Obituary of George J Papa

George John Papa of Manchester, NJ lost his battle with pancreatic cancer June 7, 2020. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his dutiful and loving companion Zenaida Mariano and her caring son Alan by his side. Born December 15, 1939 in Hoboken, NJ, George is preceded by his parents Pasquale and Vera Papa and his baby brother Bruce Papa. He leaves behind his brother Dennis, his girls; daughters Patrice Galler and her daughters Marissa and Stephanie, Tacy Papa, and bonus stepdaughter Leona Sweeney and her four children, as well as great granddaughter Zoe. George was also an honorably discharged Army veteran from 1958 to 1964. After serving his country, he served a respectable 34-year career with Greyhound bus line before retiring and working for CVT and then Stout’s, both bus companies. He was a hard-working man who will be missed by many. He was also a proud man who lived a life to be proud of. May he rest in peace with his family.
