Jane Marie Ceurvels of Forked River passed away on January 2, 2021 from complications of Covid-19. She was 76 years old.

Jane was the only child of Cassie and Wilson Mehltretter born on June 13, 1944 in Bayone, NJ. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Paterson, NJ in 1964 and went on to a successful career in nursing and nursing management before retiring in 1997 to her pink waterfront dream home in Forked River.

Jane is survived by her beloved dog, Charlie, her daughter Diane and husband Michael Kerchner of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, her son Frank Ceurvels of Bloomingdale, NJ and her three grandsons Stephen, Cole and Hunter Kerchner. Jane is predeceased by her life-long friend, Mary Coleman of North Plainfield, NJ.

Jane will be remembered for her love for Charlie, her impeccable appearance at all times and her crazy gardening skills. She loved nothing more than shopping and tending to her flowers with Charlie by her side.

Visitation has been deferred to a time when it is safer for her loved ones to gather and celebrate her life.
