Obituary of N. "Lucille" O'Hare

N. “Lucille” O’Hare, age 87, beloved mom, grandma, and aunt, of Brick, NJ passed away January 14, 2021. She married her sweetheart Peter O’Hare, in November of 1954 who predeceased her in 1994. They had ten children and together they built a life of love, family, faith, laughter, and friendships. Lucille received her nursing degree from Ocean County College after their ninth child was born. She went on to work at Point Pleasant Hospital, and then Community Medical Center as a home care and hospice nurse for several years before retirement. She later volunteered for hospice. She was an avid reader and spent time reading to patients and providing comfort. Lucille was a kind, giving person, and was loved by all the people whose lives she touched in so many ways. Whether giving candy out to her grandchildren or people at the Chelsea, she always made them smile. Lucille was devoted to her large family and enjoyed every moment with them. She is survived by her ten children Peter, Kathleen, Mary, Annie, Patty, Margie, Eileen, Franny, Krissy, and James. And will be greatly missed by her eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A celebration of Lucille’s life will be held at a later date.
