Obituary of Laurence Allotta, Jr.

Laurence Allotta Jr. passed away on July 17, 2021 at home. He was 90 years old. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Claire, his daughter Rose and son-in-law John Yereance of Barnegat, NJ; his daughter Catherine and son-in-law Robert Gray of Forked River, NJ; his son Laurence Allotta III of Bean Station, TN; and his estranged son, James and daughter-in-law Laura of Waretown NJ, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Born in 1930 in Garfield NJ, Larry was a United States Navy veteran and manager at Becton & Dickinson, Continental Can and Tech Tools during his lengthy career. Larry was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and the Arizona Cardinals football team. Larry had an exceptional sense of humor and loved to joke around “So long and have a nice day in spite of me” will always be remembered. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Cremation was private and a memorial service will be held in the future.
