I was absolutely heartbroken to learn today that my dear dear friend and political alter-ego had passed! I last got a text from her on Oct 8th and she was talking about turning 70 in Feb! Everything seemed ok! But since I was texting her the last 2 wks with no answer I got concerned! I met Julie at Tutor Time in ‘09 and we’ve been close friends since! She was always caring and compassionate and we shared a lot in common! My most sincere condolences to her children and grandchildren who she adored! I share your pain and the feeling of immense loss! Julie Julie do you love me. I sang this to her all the time! We were/ are the best of friends even with our ups and downs ! We didn’t agree on much yet somehow we stayed friends for close to 50 years. Nothing I didn’t know and nothing she didn’t know. She was my Thelma I was her Louise. We cried together and God how we would laugh!! Never laughed with anyone like we did together! Her family was most important and God how she loved her grandchildren!! Rest easy my dear friend I will mis you terribly and I will love you always. I’m waiting for my sign!

My friend Julie was an extraordinary human being! There are no words to describe the impact Julie has made on my family. I am devastated, as well are my children. God truly blessed me with her! My heart aches for her 3 boys and, their families.

Julie and I were FB friends. We both went to the same high school in Germany, that was our connection. When my boyfriend died she asked for my favorite picture of him, then framed it and sent it back to me. It touched my heart so much. She was very kind. Be at peace Julie, I know you are with your Joe. She adored her sons and her grandchildren were a light in her life. I know her family will miss her and so will I.

Julie was definitely one of a kind; a very caring and loyal friend. She always had time for me whenever I needed her. I will always remember our fun lunches at Poppy's and the many conversations we shared over the years we were friends. She always spoke about her husband with such love and loss and now they are together again. My sincere condolences to her family. May God help you all through this sad and difficult time.
