Obituary of Dolores L DeBot

Dolores L. DeBot (DiRocco), 85, died suddenly on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Southern Ocean Medical Center. She was born in Paterson, NJ and lived in Saddle Brooke before moving to Manahawkin in the late 70s. She is pre-deceased by her husband Henry (Hank) DeBot, her parents Richard and Rosalia (Iurato) DiRocco, her sisters Eleanor Barbato and Marie Moore, and her brother Louis DiRocco. She is survived by her two daughters Gloria Fey and Barbara Stebbins, her five grandchildren Daina Barry, Leahann Reissek, Jason Fey, Deana Sepers and Kristen Stebbins, as well as her ten loving great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Norma Bell and Shirley Giarrusso. Dee worked as a hairdresser for 25 years for Claire’s Beauty Salon in Paterson and Hawthorne, NJ. Once she relocated to south Jersey, she was the proud owner of Hair Stop Salon in Waretown, NJ. Dee was also a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Waretown. To her family and friends, Dee was known for her selflessness and dedication, as she was someone you could always count on and went out of her way to help and care for others. Her strong personality and unwavering honesty will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen’s Church 367 Route 9, Waretown, NJ 08758 on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 12:00 PM. Lunch immediately following at the church as well. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephen’s Church.
