MaryAnn (Savoca) Miciek of Barnegat NJ passed away peacefully at Southern Ocean Medical center on May 15th 2022, at the age of 67. MaryAnn was born in Elizabeth and raised in Roselle Park NJ. She attended Union County Vocational School in Scotch plains and graduated in 1972. She spent her professional career as a hair dresser, doing what she loved, and went on to own her own salon in Waretown NJ. She is preceded in death by her father John Savoca, and is survived by her brother Chuck and mother Catherine, beloved sons Ian and Nick along with their spouses, her grandson Jaxson, and nieces and nephews. She had many friends who she held close to her heart, and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. In her last days, MaryAnn was surrounded by her family and friends who will remember her for being a fighter who fought until the very end. She suffered from COPD for over 15 years and while her physical ability was limited, her love was endless. Her greatest joy was her children and spending time with her grandson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life memorial service on Friday May 20th from 5pm-7pm.The memorial service will be held at Ocean County Cremation Service, 1252 Route 37 W., Toms River, NJ 08755. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter (fosocas.org)
