Ann Rose Testa (nee Pizzano), 101, of Forked River passed into eternal rest Aug. 12, 2022 at the Tallwoods Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Bayville, New Jersey.
Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, she made her home in Kearny, New Jersey, with her husband, Joseph Testa, and worked for many years alongside him in their butcher shop on the corner of Davis Ave. and Tappan St. in Kearny. She also worked for several years for Charms in Bloomfield and finally as an aide on a special needs school bus. Ann spent the last 23 years with her daughter and son-in-law in Forked River. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Bingo and luncheons with her many friends. She is survived by her son, Joseph Testa and wife Angela of Destin, Florida, daughter, Mary Anne Fash and husband Richard of Forked River, New Jersey, grandson Walter Stacey and wife Erica of Oviedo, Florida, granddaughter Stephanie Posa and husband Joe of Manahawkin, New Jersey, step-grandson Christopher Fash and wife Kathy of Warrington, Pennsylvania, and six great-grandchildren, James, Shea, Carly, Liam, Kaitlyn and Miles, and many loving nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. Ann was predeceased by her parents, Domenick and Mary Antonella Pizzano, and Ann’s six siblings, Paul, Carmine, Angie, Lizzie, May and Helen.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11:00 AM, at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, 141 Washington Ave., on the corner of Kearny Ave., Kearny, NJ, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
