Obituary of Joan Buchko

Joan Marie Buchko, 82 passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Joan was a passionate, dedicated Nurse for nearly 4 decades. She was so proud to be followed in that profession by her granddaughter Breanna Little. Joan was especially proud of her children, her greatest joy in life was her entire family. Joan was predeceased by her husband Peter Paul Buchko in 2004, her parents John & Martha Szatkowski of South Amboy, her younger sister Carol Sessa and brother John “Jackie” Szatkowski Jr., all from South Amboy NJ. Joan is survived by her daughters Patricia Tait, Pamela Little, Dorothea Baer, and Dori Taglianetti. Sons-in-law Sam Little and Jason Baer, as well as 8 grandchildren; Kenneth Philpot, Jonathan Philpot, Breanna Little, Garrett Little, Preston Little, Tyler Taglianetti, Anthony Taglianetti, Adamarie Tait and 2 great grandchildren Eli Philpot and Shelby Philpot. Joan was a loving and giving soul, she will be tremendously missed by so many who have been touched by her heart and her spirit. She can now rest in eternal peace. Services will be held at the Ocean County Cremation Service Chapel, 1252 Route 37 W, Toms River NJ from 11 am - 1pm Saturday, October 15, 2022.
