Obituary of Mary Jane Rogers

Mary Jane Rogers (McGuire), 72 of Lacey Twp, N.J.passed away peacefully on December 25, 2022 “Jane”, as she was known by friends and family, was born in Queens, NY. to Maryium and Raymond McGuire on June 26, 1950. She attended Martin Van Buren High School, in Queens NY and graduated in 1968. She lit a candle and prayed daily at Our Lady of Snows for the Vietnam Veterans, and would later marry U.S. Army Veteran, Warren Rogers, in 1972. She worked as a secretary at Forked River School for twenty years, before retiring in 2008. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was a member of the Woman's Club, Reading Club, and Mah Jong of Forked River and a parishioner of the St Barnabas Parish. Jane is survived by her daughter, Stacey Mazza and son- in- law John Mazza . Her grandchildren, Anthony and Matthew of Lanoka Harbor NJ . Her siblings Joseph (Tina) McGuire (FL), Norma Schmidt (FL), Helen McGuire (FL), Kevin (Madeline) McGuire (Colorado), Nieces: Amy Vaugh (FL), Jennifer Schmidt (FL), Shana Rogers (FL) , Kelly Rogers (Fl), Kathy Whitmeyer (NJ), Kerri Matthews (NJ), Kim Wainwright (NJ) and nephews Kevin Schmidt (FL), Joseph McGuire (VA), and Christian Rasnake (VA) , Brother in law, Neil (Paulette) Rogers, and sister-in-law Nadine Rasnake (VA). She is preceded in death by her spouse, Warren Rogers in 2016 Memorial donations may be made to Friends of Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter, Stafford NJ A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
