George DeParre Jr.

George DeParre Jr. passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 12, 2023. He was

68 years of age.

George was born April 2nd, 1954, to George and Mary DeParre. One of six children, he was raised

in a loving, traditional family.

His father instilled in him a great work ethic, which he carried throughout his life. He was an asset

to every employer he worked for; and was appreciated by all who employed him as a good reliable

worker.

Happily married for 27 years to his wife Marguerite, he was a loving husband and provider. He

found great joy in the life they shared together with their pets and their grandchildren.

He loved golf and would jump at the chance to play with his golf buddies. One of his favorite

leisure activities other than playing golf, was watching golf. The man had golf in his blood.

George also loved his pets; there have been many dogs who enjoyed the best life any dog could

wish for because they had the good fortune to become his fur babies. We can only imagine the

crowd of wagging tails that met him at the gate.

Everyone who knew George knew he was a good man, the best of men. He was there for his friends

and family whenever they needed him, and even sometimes when they didn’t. George was the kind

of person who made you feel welcome the moment you met him.

George is survived by his son Michael DeParre, his daughter Jaci Vazquez (Carlos), and by his

granddaughters Willow and Violet, who he so dearly loved. He is also survived by his sisters

Cynthia Lestalla (Vince), Joellen D’Arcy (Rich), and his brother Perry DeParre.

He leaves behind Marguerite, his loving wife of 27 years, who will miss him greatly and will hold

him in her heart for the rest of her life.

A memorial will be held on March 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Ocean County Cremation Service at

1252 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.

Family should arrive at 11:30 am, friends are welcome at 12:00 pm.
