Francine Cherichella, of Forked River, NJ, passed away on Saturday March 18, 2023, at the age of 77.

After several months of declining health, Francine died peacefully with her beloved daughter Marnie

and beloved granddaughter Katie, by her side.

Francine was born in Manhattan, NY on July 4, 1945. She grew up in Pompton Lakes, N.J. and

graduated from Pompton Lakes High School. She then went onto Beauty School and graduated from the

Wilfred Academy of Hair and Beauty Culture in June of 1964. She worked as a hairdresser her entire life

and mostly enjoyed doing hair for the elderly, her family and friends.

She loved all animals especially her beloved dogs who she spoiled immensely. She enjoyed dancing,

crafting, yardwork, garage sales, soap operas and game shows, playing ma-jongg on her computer and

politics. She was always up for a good debate.

She was high-spirited and a real firecracker always making people laugh with her quirky sense of humor

right up until she passed. She loved her family deeply and unconditionally and was a fierce protector.

Francine is predeceased by her loving parents Donald and Eleanor La Forge, her only sibling Don La

Forge and husband Joseph Cherichella. She is survived by her only child, her loving and devoted

daughter Marnie Hook and her partner Gary Peccarelli of Lanoka Harbor; her three loving grandchildren

Mike, Dan and Katie; beloved dog Chester; her sister-in-law Lily; nieces Debbie and husband Marc, Donna and husband Bob; nephew Donny, and best friend Stosh.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:30 am at:

Saint Mary’s Church
