On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, Joseph Capriotti, loving son, brother and uncle passed away at the age of 57. He was born on August 16, 1965 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. He resided in Whiting, New Jersey with his caring parents, Alfred and Mary Capriotti.

Shortly after Joseph’s birth, he was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. From that day on, he taught our family the gifts of compassion and acceptance towards every person we have ever come in contact with. Despite his lack of a typical voice, Joseph was the most animated and happy fellow a person could communicate with. His laugh was infectious and he had the ability to brighten the darkest of places with his giggle.

He loved attending school and riding the bus each day in his younger years. He was a huge fan of playing with his blocks and truly enjoyed living in the Florida warmth for many years. However, there was nothing in the world that he loved more than his father and mother. The relationship he built with them will be one that we hold deep in our hearts for the rest of our lives. He has left us with a large gap in our family and he will be sorely missed.

Joseph is survived by his loving parents, Alfred and Mary, his three brothers; Alfred and his wife, Margaret, Patrick and his wife, Maria, Michael, and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
