Obituary of Patricia Ann (nee Hagen) Cook

Patricia “Patti” Ann Cook of Toms River, formerly of Lynhurst , NJ sadly departed this world on

June 12th at the age of 67 after an illness she bravely battled for some time. She passed

peacefully, surrounded by her daughter Mallory, son Evan and husband Rich

Patti was born on December 26th, 1955 to Edward and Ann Hagen. She lived most of her life in

Rutherford, NJ before moving to Lyndhust, NJ and finally to Toms River, NJ. She is survived by

her husband Richard Cook, her daughter Mallory Louise Ioffredo (married to Frank Ioffredo),

son Evan Cook (married to Olivia) and son Matthew Cook (married to Stefanie) and daughter

and son-in-law Harold and Kristin Duarte. Also, two brothers: Gary (Loretta) Hagen and Vincent

(Barbara) Hagen, sister-in-law Peggy Cook, and various nephews and nieces. She is predeceased

by her daughter Emilyann Rose Cook, her parents Ed and Ann Hagen, and her in-laws Jack and

Ethel Cook.

Patti retired from Rite Aid in 2014 where she worked as a Pharmacy Technician for 19 years.

Her warm smile and shining eyes on her beautiful face made meeting her a truly memorable

experience. She was never heard to mention a disparaging word about anyone, she had that

quality so rarely found in people of just being loving and caring regardless of the circumstance.

Her children and eight grandchildren were the true pride of her existence, and she was completely

and utterly devoted to them. There was no greater joy in her life than to have them all gathered

together at family events where she reveled in their laughter and happiness.

Mainly, she was adored by her husband, Rich, who was devoted to her well-being. They were

married on August 23rd, 1980 and spent the next 43 years entirely devoted to each other. Patti

was a homebody and few things brought her more contentment than a simple relaxing evening at

home.

Patti will be missed beyond measure. Her presence and importance in the lives of her family and

friends will never be matched. Heaven gained an Angel of infinite grace and beauty.

Visitation for Patti will be 2-4pm on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Ocean County Cremation

Service, 1252 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ.
