Richard E Snook (October 10, 1946 - September 5, 2023)

Richard E Snook, 76 of Whiting NJ died peacefully at home on September 5, 2023 surrounded by

his loved ones.

Richard was born in Hempstead NY in 1946 to Theodore and Winifred (Miller) Snook, he was the

youngest of 3 children. Richard was raised in Hamilton NJ where he attended Steinert High School.

After High school he enlisted in the US Navy where Richard served from 1963 to 1971. Spending

the majority of his Naval career aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga in the Pacific during

Vietnam. After serving abroad he continued as a Naval Recruitment officer until Richard was

honorably discharged in 1971. Following his discharge he worked for McGraw Hill Companies on the

S&P 500 as a systems analyst for 30 years until his retirement in 2007. After Richard retired he

spent most of his time with his family especially enjoying his grandchildren. Richard was a simple

man whose greatest pride and treasure was his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Winifred Snook, his Brother Douglas

and Sister Muriel. He is survived by his Wife of 52 years Emma, his Daughter and Son in Law Kristin

& Robert “Bob” Pascale, and his 6 grandchildren: Haley, Jocelyn, Savanna, Natalie, Jackson and

Skylar. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on November 19, 2023 1:00 pm at Harmony Lodge 114 Route 37

West Toms River NJ.
