Geraldine M. Reilly, 89, of Toms River, NJ died Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home surrounded by

her loving family. She was born and raised in Jersey City and graduated from Lincoln High School. Geri

lived in Brick, NJ before moving to Toms River 20 years ago. She spent most of her life raising 6 children

before becoming an award-winning salesperson at Sears. She most enjoyed spending time with her

family; first as a wonderful wife and mother then to become the quintessential grandmother (Nanny).

Her sense of humor inspired warmth and laughter and her loving personality put everyone at ease. She

loved animals and took in many strays. She was the matriarch of our family and made sure there was an

abundance of food at every meal and celebration. She was a caring soul and a devout Catholic who

served as a role model for her family and for all who knew her.

Geraldine was married to William Reilly who pre-deceased her six years ago. She is survived by 6

children: Dr. William Reilly and his wife Chris of Lititz, PA, Dr. Edward Reilly of Asheville, NC, Mary Fox

and her husband Peter of West Palm Beach FL, Robert Reilly and his wife Kerry of Wall, NJ, Patrica Geller

and her husband Adam of Holmdel, NJ, and Dr. Dolores (“Lori”) Reilly of Belmar, NJ. She also leaves

behind 11 grandchildren: Liam, Robert, Drew and Taylor Reilly; Brian and Claire Fox; Kyle Reilly; Connor

and Leia Reilly; Catherine and Allison Geller as well as her sister Dolores Nagelmeyer and two nephews:

Bruce and Thomas Nagelmeyer.

The funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, 11am at The Parish of St. Mary, 1

Phalanx Rd, Colts Neck, NJ. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown, NJ.
