Isabel McGuckin Castelein, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by

family on October 2, 2023 in Brick, New Jersey.

A memorial service will be held at St. Justin the Martyr Roman Catholic

Church in Toms River on Saturday, October 14, at 10:00 AM.  Burial will

follow at St. Josephs Cemetery in Toms River.

Isabel was born in Paterson to Joseph and Mae McGuckin. She

attended Paterson Central High School where she met Roger Castelein.

They raised their family in Totowa and retired to Florida. They were

married for 67 years prior to Roger passing. Isabel then returned to New

Jersey to be with her family. Isabel was a caring individual who always

placed her heart with her family. She was an active member of St. James

of the Marshes Rosary Altar Society and was an ardent supporter of St.

Josephs Home for Children and St. Josephs Home for the Elderly in

Totowa. She is deeply missed by all who knew her.  

Isabel is survived by sons Roger Castelein and his wife Mary, Paul

Castelein and his wife Cindy, and daughter Kathleen Dillon and her

husband Robert.  She was a devoted and loving grandmother to David,

Megan, James, Rachel, Shannon, Brian and Kevin, and great-grandmother

to Ava, Vivien, Izabella, Brayden, Ellie and Emilya. She was a loving aunt

to Karen Graf, Albert Venditte, Lisa Petrick and Jose Rivera.  She was

predeceased by her husband, Roger, son Kenneth and sister Marie

Venditte.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Isabels name

may be made to All Humane Animal Rescue, Inc. through Venmo
