Rose Kimball Age 99 Lavallette, NJ Rose Kimball, age 99, of Lavallette formerly of Toms River, North Brunswick and Highland Park, New Jersey passed away with her daughter Diann by her side at home on Tuesday October 3, 2023. Born in Jersey City, Rose grew up in Highland Park, New Jersey. Rose attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic school and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1942. Before retirement, Rose was a secretary in the North Brunswick school system. Her earliest job was during and after WWII as a secretary in the Raritan Arsenal in Edison, New Jersey. During her time as a homemaker, she served as the President of the PTA and was very active in the VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Throughout her lifetime Rose loved to dance, go to the beach, travel, spend lots of time with family, play cards, do jigsaw puzzles, and take trips to Atlantic City. Rose was very lucky when she gambled and always had a big bright smile when the bells on the machines went off. She and her husband George traveled whenever they had the opportunity. Trips she reminisced about often were to Alaska, New Orleans, Florida, and Las Vegas. Rose made friends wherever she went. She was an amazing lady who brought many of us so much joy and so many laughs throughout our lifetimes. She was a shrewd card player and never said no to a game. You knew Rose liked you when she gave you a little wink. It was her signature expression. Her raviolis and meatballs were legendary in the family. She was an avid Yankees fan and loved to watch the games on TV. Her Thanksgiving dinners were unforgettable. Rose was predeceased by her parents, James and Rose Torsiello, 6 brothers and sisters, her husband, George E. Kimball, her daughters Rosemary Gemgnani and Georgette Ezyske, and son-in-law Wayne Demarest. She is survived by her daughter, Diann Demarest, granddaughters, Florence Hayes and her husband Richard David, Dawn Pascale and her husband Bryan, and Kimberly Spina and her husband Matt. She is also survived by son in laws Dino Gemgnani and Jerry Ezyske, and great-grandchildren Josephine, Gavin, Juliana and Nicole, and many other extended family members and friends. Rose always said life is for the living but honor the dead. She is certainly being honored for a life well lived. Interment will take place privately at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery. Rose’s family will host a memorial service in the future.
