William Francis Etts (89) born in Brooklyn, NY October 10, 1927 from Syosset, NY and currently resides in Jackson, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 30, 2016. William is survived by his wife of 64 years Grace Elizabeth (Sacer) his children Gregory, Jennifer and Dennis Patelis, Christine and David Zettle, Douglas Sr. and Susan his six grandchildren Steven, William, Alexis, Douglas Jr., Arden and Shannon, and his two sisters Jackie Jacobs and MaryAnn Todd. William was a generous man who loved not only his children and grandchildren, but his nieces and nephews with an abundance of joy and happiness. William was a kind gentleman that encouraged intellectual conversation and always enjoyed a challenging debate. William enjoyed his football and declared there were only two types of guy’s, good guys and bad guys and the only good guys were the NY Giants and NY Rangers. William would be happiest being remembered by all who knew him as a man who loved his family. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life in the near future. In Lieu of flowers we are asking donations to be sent to the Visiting Nurses Association Health Group Hospice, C/O Foundation Office, 176 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, New Jersey 07701.
