kindness. Arthur, born in Lakewood, NJ on August 5, 1944, journeyed peacefully to be with the Lord on
December 15, 2023, at the age of 79, in Crystal Lake, Bayville, NJ. His life was colored by the love of
family, his roots deeply embedded in Toms River, New Jersey, where he spent his formative years on
Water Street. He proudly graduated from Toms River High (South) in 1963 and embarked on a career at
Glover and Company on downtown Water Street, dedicating 25 years until its transition to J. Knipper and
Company in 1987. Later, settled to Oak Street in Lakewood, NJ, retiring as a supervisor in 2006 after 44
years of dedicated service. Arthur was more than his career; he was an integral part of various
communities. He devoted 40 years to the Masonic Lodge in Toms River, exemplifying commitment and
fellowship. His passion for bowling, especially in the men's Friday night pro league in Beachwood, NJ,
was evident for 20 years. He found joy in the melodies of rock and roll, particularly the sounds of the 50s
and 60s, reminiscent of American Bandstand. His love for science-fiction movies and crossword puzzles
was a testament to his diverse interests. Beyond his hobbies, Arthurs true essence lay in his
compassionate nature. He cared for his grandmother, mother, and aunt with unwavering devotion, a
testament to his kind and gentle soul. His surviving relatives, cousin Billie Owens of Ormond Beach, FL,
and cousin William Mickey Jr (Sonny), of Ridgely, West Virginia, share in the loss of this remarkable man.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur B. and Hedwig Parsons, his sister Anna-Bell, He is
survived by his son Shaun Arthur Parsons and his daughter Elizabeth Ann Parsons, and ex-wife/friend
Patricia Parsons who carry forth his legacy of love and compassion. As we bid farewell to Arthur Parsons,
let us remember the warmth of his spirit, his dedication to family, and the joy he found in the simple
pleasures of life. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the love
he shared. Rest peacefully, Arthur, knowing your kindness will forever echo in the hearts of those who
had the privilege to know you.
