Christine Mary Anderson

September 22, 1946 - July 5, 2024

Christine Mary Anderson, 77, of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024 after

a long illness of Parkinson Disease. She was born in Jersey City, NJ on September 22, 1946

to the late Chester and Moira Ruth Onoszko.  Christine Mary Anderson was a graduate of

Key Port High School.  Mrs. Anderson attended Brick Computer Science Institute and

Performance Training Inc. after high school. She was Key Punch Operator and Supply Clerk

for Fort Monmouth, in Monmouth, NJ. In later years she worked as a Dispatch Clerk for First

Energy, in Lakewood, NJ where she retired.

Mrs. Anderson had a love of dancing, sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking and party planning.

In her later years she ran in Area 13.1 Half Marathon in Roswell, New Mexico and the Disney

World Wine and Dine Half-Marathon and 13K in Orlando, FL. She, also, volunteered to do

security for the Pope Francis while he was visiting Philadelphia, PA in 2015. Christine will be

remembered for being an extremely kind, caring, and generous person. She was always

ready to help family and friends. 

Mrs. Anderson was predeceased by her sister Maureen Medolla. She is survived by her

loving daughter Taffy Riehl and son-in-law Frank Riehl of Toms River, NJ and her sister Lisa

Lloyd of Pittsburgh, PA.  

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Ocean County Cremation Service.

Mrs. Anderson's ashes will be laid to rest in Saint Gertrude’s Cemetery and Mausoleum, Colonia,

NJ.  Christine Mary Anderson was a loving mother, sister, friend and neighbor and will be

greatly missed.
