One of my first memories of George was in first grade, outside the school and waiting for school to start. I remember being in awe and amazed with him telling me all the jobs that he has held throughout his life. He truly was such an amazing man. I remember whenever we ran into each other through town or he saw me while driving his van he would go out of his way to say hi and a little catch up session. Although this may seem like small minute gestures, they showcased how kind and thoughtful he was to people around him. I am so grateful to have known George during my life.

George never forget that I Love you Forever. Sometimes it's hard to find words to tell you how much you mean to me. If I did anything right in my life , it was when I gave my heart to you. The happiest day of my life is when we got married. The second happiest day of my life is when we brought Wende our daughter home from the hospital. You are the Best Husband in the World

For those of us who really knew George, we were in constant amazement of him. He was like a force of nature! Like a huge storm, and you knew it was coming and it would soon envelop you. The name George conjured a mundane name of a person, but he transformed that simple name into a larger than life persona. George always kept moving and plowing forward. He always redefined himself and was not afraid of change. As a friend, a business partner and and a confidant, I remember on many occasions, when we ran into problems, George’s simple reply was, “I’ll deal with it!”, which he always did. All of the memories of us together swirl in my head. There are very few days that go by where I won’t be sitting quietly and say “Ah, George!”

George..."He was a very nice man".
I can still hear him telling the bus driver story 20x in one night just to make Wende and I laugh. He was a man that truly did anything to make you smile. He was so selfless and full of so much love. Not only was he my best friends dad or neighbor, George was like a father to me and I loved him as such. He helped me become the woman I am today and for that, I am eternally grateful. He treated me as another daughter and showed me what love and family is. He believed in me when no one else did and pushed me to become my best self. I accredit each accomplishment to him. George came into my life when I needed him the most. We share so many memories that I will never forget. He was such an amazing father, husband and friend. Everyone that knows me, knows that I call him my "step-dad". One of my favorite people in the world. George, thank you for all the laughs, life lessons, trips, hugs and memories. You will live on forever in my heart. Thank you for showing me a life worth living. I promise to continue traditions such as belting out The Beatles in the car, visiting casino pier in the summers, and taking a ride on its a small world. I love you forever!

Uncle George I have so many vivid memories of you throughout my youth at Nana’s house as you were a mere teenager when I came into the world. Thank you for being there for me and my family. Helping my mom, driving Nana to see us, helping us find a safe home, and coming for Kyles baptism with everyone to support us, just to name a few. You will be missed by so many. Squeeze Nana and Papa for me. “Gone from our sight but out from our hearts” we love you ❤️

I was so lucky to have known George since I was a child. A lot of my fondest childhood memories were created because of him and his family. I would remember trying out pancakes, tacos, and so many other cuisines for the first time. What I love about George was he was always so supportive of me trying out new foods and creating such a welcoming environment for someone who has never experienced these things before. I also remember the car rides as kids. He would drive Wende and I in his van while we would belt out songs. One memory I had was when we were driving up to North Jersey singing Sam Smith and talking about all the myths that happened in different locations there. It was one of the happiest memories I had as a child, and I’ll never forget. Even though I was just Wende’s friend, George treated me with a kindness that made me feel like part of the family. That warmth and support left a lasting impression on me that I’ll carry with me throughout my life. He was an amazing father and a pillar of strength, not just for his family but for everyone who knew him.

Uncle,I can’t believe that I am writing on a wall to share my memories with you instead of calling you and Aunt Elieen to laugh about them.
For anyone & everyone that knew my uncle knew he always had to bust your chops about anything & it was always a good laugh. A man that helped everyone & treated anyone like family.
So many times spent with him,Aunt Elieen & Wende.
He raised me for a part of my life & I can never thank him enough for all the love he gave me.
From going on trips in that van of his or just going to a storage bin. You can always know there were many laughs being had.
You are going to be truly missed, but please know we will take care of Aunt Elieen & Wende the way you looked out & took care of us. Love you always

George Hurtuk, the man that loved to bust chops! He will be truly missed by many. George, a father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son. There was never a dull moment with my father in-law. He always made light of things good or bad and kept you laughing. He loved laughing and joking with his granddaughters Kaylynn and Sierra. He always knew how to get Kay going cause she loved to talk and debate and he loved the back and feet rubs Sierra would give him. Always telling me to make sure I take care of his Sonny Boy. Dad always kept his son (George Jr) busy with the storage units, teaching him the tricks of the trade! Boy sometimes I hated those storage units! He even got me into eBay. It’s hard to believe you are gone. I know you will be watching over us with nanny. Dad Hurtuk, even though you are gone physically you will always be here with your family. Your spirit remains strong with all who you have left behind, and we know you are in a better place now. Thank you for the time and memories you have given us and your son. Rest in peace dad, we love you.

George was the #1 guy to go to, from needing any help to making you laugh. Many times he would just like to share a story and it was his way of expresssing himself. He was my number #1 boss. He always knew how to make us laugh and enjoy the time. I learned so much from him, from doing ebay to life long lessons. He was the man to go to.Every time we were with Wendy and Elieen we had a blast. We Shared so many beautiful memories. Can't help but think of all the beautiful and fun times we send together. Long live George in our memories we all hold of him. May he be remembered by his laughter and great personality. We love you George and you will truly be missed. Xoxo Wendy and family.

I’m so lucky to have gotten to known him and got to share wonderful memories. He was like a father to me and every time I would see him it was always a laugh and joy surrounded with him. From calling him santa claus and even benjamin franklin with me around there was no joke left unsaid. Every goodbye was always with a fist bump which at some point became second nature. I will cherish all those memories with him for a lifetime. There was no one else in this world like George Hurtuk he was a one of kind human being and I will miss him very much.
