Matthew T. Lonsdale, 42, of Lacey, died Tuesday, Aug. 6. Matthew was a beloved son and a veteran.

He was a 2000 graduate of Lacey High School and a graduate from Ocean County College. Matthew grew up in Lacey Township and lived in Ocean County. He served the US Navy from 2001-2005. Matthew served a 9-month tour on the USS Paul Hamilton during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Matthew loved to work his summers on the seaside boardwalk

bringing smiles to tourists who came to play arcade games. Matthew was known for playing his guitar, skateboarding & love of punk rock music. Matthew was a huge animal lover and a great dog dad to Stan Lee.

He was predeceased by his father, Thomas Lonsdale.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Sue Lonsdale; his sisters, Kimberly Lonsdale, Julia Burd, and niece Madeline Elisabeth Caouette- Lonsdale. He was loved by so many and left behind a great mark on everyone's hearts. He will be sincerely missed, remembered and loved.
