Alice L. Fowler, 101, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024, with

her loving family at her side.

Born and raised in Guttenberg, NJ, she retired to Toms River in 1987. Following her retirement

she led a full and active life as a member of the Moose Lodge, St. Justin’s Seniors, the Deborah

Foundation, and the Toms River Senior Center. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church.

Alice was predeceased by Samuel, her husband of 67 years. She is survived by her three

children, Jayne Baumann and her husband Ernest, Debra Leibowitz, Michael Fowler and his

wife Lorraine, eight grandchildren and spouses, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Nana “Big Nana” is loved and will be missed by her babies, old and young. Beloved by family

and friends, your spirit was ready but our hearts were not.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 3, 2024, at St. Joseph Church,

Toms River, NJ.
