James J Santry Obituary

James J. Santry 89 of Brick NJ, originally from Staten Island,

passed away with his wife Joan and son James and daughter-in-

law at his side after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Jim

was born in Bayonne Hospital to James and Helen Santry. He

graduated from Tottenville High School in Staten Island, where he

grew up.

Jim worked in trucking for many years. Flagstaff Foods in Perth

Amboy, NJ was a big part of his life. He worked in trucking for

several years and was owner of Heritage Sheds and Gazebos in

Hazlet, NJ, until he retired.

He loved to play baseball in his youth and traveled many places in

the US. He had a long happy life.

Jim was predeceased by his parents and his first wife Patricia, his

brothers Edward and Benjamin (Sonny) Tenny.

He is survived by his wife Joan, daughter Maryanne Smith and

(Steve), and a son James Santry 3rd (Kathleen). Grandchildren,

Stephen Smith (Stephanie) and Natalie Rose Hudzik (Brian) four

great grandchildren, Savana, Sullivan, Sterling, and Sawyer, also

3 stepchildren, Andrew Carton, (Sue), Kathleen Carton and

Kenneth (Skip) Hartranft and (Jenn). Eight grand step children

and several nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held Saturday November 9th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm,

at Ocean County Cremation Service, 1252 Rt 37 West, Toms River 08755.

In memory of Jim, please donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital

and the ASPCA in Eatontown, NJ.
