Each carries forward his memory with love.
A graduate of Ewing High School Class of 1954, Dick treasured organizing and
attending his class reunions, where he enjoyed reconnecting with old friends. He
dedicated years of service to the U.S, Navy aboard the USS Intrepid, embodying the
discipline and commitment valued by the military community. Following his naval
service, Dick pursued a civilian career that reflected his love for the open road, first as a
truck salesman and then as a truck driver. Most recently, he worked at R & D Transport,
where he continued to build a reputation for hard work and dedication until June of this
year, marking the end of a long and respected career.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dick was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan,
often found in front of the TV, fully engaged in the game – whether with his eyes open or
closed. He relished the simple pleasures in life, such as dining out with Wilma and
visiting the dog park with his beloved dog, Jeter, or spending time with his family and
friends.
Dick’s life was one of service, loyalty, and unwavering commitment, leaving an indelible
mark on all who knew him. His memory will be forever cherished.
He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The internment will be at 9:45 AM on Tuesday, November 12th at the Brigadier General
William C, Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown,
