Helen H. Zajac, 86, of Toms River New Jersey, passed away on January 14 in Toms River. As per her wishes, the family will be holding a private gathering to celebrate her life.

Helen was born in Jersey City on December 14, 1938. She attended Emerson High School in Hudson County and graduated in 1957. Her yearbook states that she loved to dance and that her nickname was “Red”, due to her titian hair. She worked for 21 years at the Ocean County Vocational Technical School as a secretary, and was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Helen has left behind a loving family of 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, among many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter as well as Frank Zajac, her husband of 37 years, with whom she will now be reunited.
