Bette Jane Aldridge (Coburn) 71 of Bayville passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Newark and also lived in Linden, Secaucus, Brick and Toms River. She worked in the Pharmacy at St. Mary's Hospital, Orange, as an EMT with Alert Services and a school bus driver with Murphy's Bus Services, Neptune for many years. Bette was predeceased by her husband Fred Aldridge; parents Grace and Joseph Coburn; brothers Vincent and Joseph Coburn. She is survived by brother, William Coburn, Toms River, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Coburn, Cape Coral, Fl, her nieces and nephews, Vincent and John Coburn NJ, Debi Nagy NJ, Sue Baran NJ, Katy Carey, FL, Alison Coburn, FL and 7 great nephews and 4 great nieces. She will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humor and friendliness. She loved being around her family, especially Christmas Eves with them at her house.and pool parties in the summer. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Barnabas Community Catholic Church, Bayville, NJ on March 18 at 11 am.
